With Maldon’s unique goldfields architecture, fascinating stories, and the gentle chugging of the steam train almost at your back doorstep, there’s a lot to enjoy from your own vintage haven!
Recently restored, Shopkeeper’s House was once a fruiterers and grocers, just by the old railway station and is only a few minute’s walk from town. Originally a humble shop and abode, the 2 queen sized beds, modernised kitchen and contemporary bathroom, along with high quality linens and supplies complement the vintage feel while hinting at a little more luxury. Shopkeeper’s is simply a divine piece of central Victorian heaven.
The house has been carefully rebuilt and decorated to ensure both pleasure and comfort. It’s super-cosy in winter with that atmospheric wood heater (plus gas heating in the kitchen), and has a split system to keep things cool in summer. From the pure linen Bedouin Societe sheets, to the Coffee Basics fresh roast; pick some seasonal produce, savour the good country life and restore that balance within.
(Tariff includes basic supplies of fresh locally baked bread and jam, milk, butter, as well as, Coffee Basics coffee and condiments.)
